In 2006 Cosmopoint International College of Technology (CICT) KL Campus, which was established in 1993, was upgraded to become a university college in recognition of the campus’ 13 year track record in providing quality education. KLMU was approved and endorsed by the Education Ministry as recognition for Cosmopoint’s continued dedicated contribution to providing quality and affordable education to the public. The University College is chaired by one of the most prominent academicians and economists in Malaysia, Royal Professor Ungku A. Aziz, the country’s only Royal Professor. |

KLMU is strategically located in central Kuala Lumpur. Students can access the University easily via public transport and the campus is only a block away from Sultan Ismail LRT station. The University provides modern and sophisticated learning facilities, accessible to everyone and easy to utilize. There are lecture rooms, computer labs, studios, library, mini auditorium, student activity rooms, laboratories, gymnasium, cafeteria, and more facilities of the highest order, that are the equal of any in the region. |

To address these issues, KLMU prides itself in offering a diverse range of academic programs covering 7 faculties; Faculty of Engineering & Information Technology, Faculty of Business Management, Faculty of Art & Design, Faculty of Media Studies, Faculty of Built Environment, Faculty of Hospitality & Tourism and Faculty of Health Sciences. These faculties offer over 50 programs from certifi cate to postgraduate level, taught by highly qualifi ed staff with relevant, thorough experience across every industry. |
The KLMU curriculum shares its focus between practical learning and providing lessons on positive personal values to create intelligent, confi dent graduates capable of critical thinking, who are able to excel. To meet the burgeoning demand from the educational community from both within the country and around the region, the new KLMU RM300 million campus is currently being built at Wangsa Maju, Kuala Lumpur. Targeted for completion in 2011, the state-of-the-art purpose-built facility is just 10 minutes from KL city centre. International learners will make up 45% of the student population to ensure a truly global educational experience. The campus will also comfortably receive 4,000 students as residents in its hotel-styled condominiums. The University is projected to reach 10,000 students by 2012, making it one of the largest and most exciting educational establishments in Malaysia’s history. |
